Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has started the recruitment process for 17 posts of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) in the Water Resources Department. This recruitment has been taken out under advertisement number 18/2025. Interested candidates having the required qualification can fill the form by visiting the official website . The application process is going on from 8 May. The last date for application is 7 June, while the last date for depositing the fee has been fixed as 9 June.

This is the educational qualification and age limit.

The candidate must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Assam. It is necessary to upload an Employment Exchange Certificate or a Permanent Residence Certificate with the application. There should be a 3-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an institute recognized by AICTE. This diploma should be done through regular mode; a distance learning degree will not be valid. The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 40 years.

General category candidates applying for this recruitment will have to pay Rs 297.20. This amount of application fee has been fixed at Rs 197.20 for OBC/MOBC category candidates and Rs 47.20 for SC/ST/BPL/PwBD category.

This much salary will be given.

The selected candidates will get a salary between Rs 14000 to Rs 70000. Along with this, the grade pay of Rs 8700 will also be given. Other allowances will also be available as per the rules of the Assam government. This salary will be given under Pay Band-2.
