Toyota has unveiled the BZ4X Touring, a new addition to its BZ4X series. This model aims to broaden the brand's offerings, delivering enhanced performance and increased space for users. Designed with user freedom in mind, the BZ4X Touring features an electric powertrain that supports fast charging and boasts an impressive driving range.
The BZ4X Touring will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The AWD variant is equipped with Toyota's advanced X-mode drive control technology and Grip Control, enhancing its off-road capabilities. Both versions will utilize a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, with options for 11 kW and 22 kW onboard chargers, achieving a maximum charging speed of approximately 150 kW.
The front-wheel drive model is expected to deliver a maximum output of 224 DIN HP, while the all-wheel drive version will produce 380 DIN HP (280 kW), making it the most powerful electric vehicle in Toyota's lineup. With these enhancements, the vehicle is projected to achieve a driving range of 560 km based on WLTP standards.
The BZ4X Touring seamlessly extends the SUV design of the original BZ4X. It features an overall height increase of 140 mm and a width increase of 20 mm, enhancing its load-bearing capacity. The vehicle includes a flexible 40:60 rear seat arrangement, allowing users to easily adapt the cabin space to accommodate their travel needs.
Toyota has launched a new battery assurance program, covering any battery-related issues for a duration of 10 years or up to one million kilometers, whichever comes first. Additionally, owners can schedule annual battery health check-ups. The BZ4X Touring is set to debut in Europe in Spring 2026.
