The Mains Senior Selection Committee has announced India-A Squad for the first class match against England Lions. The command of this squad has been handed over to experienced batsman Abhimanyu Ishwan. At the same time, Karun Nair and Ishaan Kishan have also returned to this team.

A day before the IPL 2025 season began, the Indian Board announced India-A Squad for 2 First Class Match and Team India for a practice match on England tour. According to expectations, the veteran opener of Bengal Abhimanyu Ishwaran has been given the command. Earlier, India-A captained on Australia tour was done by Rituraj Gaikwad but this time he is not taking charge of the team. However, he has been selected in the squad.

The special feature of the squad selected for this series starting on May 30 is that veteran batsman Karun Nair has got a chance to return to the Indian team setup after many years. In the last domestic season, there was a continuous demand to call Karun, who scored more than 1600 runs and 9 centuries in first class and list-one cricket. In such a situation, it is very important to get a chance in India-A before the start of the Indo-England Test series. If they perform strongly here, then they can also return to the Test team.

Apart from him, Ishaan Kishan has also been given a chance by National Selectors once again.
