Tom Cruise returns as the ultimate Ethan Hunt in the upcoming actioner The Final Reckoning, and the opening day pre-sales numbers in India looks promising. Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, serves as the eighth installment in the celebrated franchise. The movie sold a voluminous 1.5 lakh tickets across top domestic cinema chains.

If the pace continues, the film can witness an exceptional opening figure of Rs 15 crore-plus that can overreach the Rs 12.25 crore launch of Mission: Impossible 7 (2023).

Helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film continues the story featured at the end of Dead Reckoning, yet again a high-octave drama that received massive love from fans globally. The film is set to bring back Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Angela Bassett, and others, for the runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes. It has already bagged a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Endorsed by Viacom18, the film will be premiered over 3,000 screens in India. The distributor will release the new film in English-language across the tier-one cities backed with premium quality shows. For tier-two and tier-three cities, it has planned to offer the Hindi-dubbed versions for better accessibility and reach.

The film garnered positive reviews after its premiere at the coveted 78th Cannes Film Festival. It also managed to create a buzz at the global premiere in Tokyo on May 5 amongst the spectators and fans
