Supreme Court's Summer Schedule

The Supreme Court has issued a notification regarding the benches that will operate during the upcoming summer recess, which spans from May 26 to July 13. These benches will function on 'partial court working days.'

During this period, two to five vacation benches will be in session, with Chief Justice B R Gavai and other senior judges participating in hearings.

Traditionally, only two vacation benches were active during the summer break, and senior judges did not take part in these sessions.

From May 26 to June 1, Chief Justice, Justice Surya Kant, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice J K Maheshwari, and Justice B V Nagarathna will lead the five benches respectively.

Throughout this time, the Supreme Court registry will be open for all officials and staff from 10 AM to 5 PM. However, the registry will remain closed on all Saturdays (except July 12), Sundays, and public holidays.
