The much-anticipated film, Captain America: Brave New World, is set to debut on JioHotstar in India on May 28. Despite the excitement surrounding its release, the movie has garnered a mixed reception from both critics and audiences.

In this installment, Anthony Mackie reprises his role as Sam Wilson, also known as Falcon, who has now assumed the iconic mantle of Captain America following Steve Rogers.

According to Marvel's official site, the film's synopsis reveals that Sam Wilson encounters newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross and becomes embroiled in an international crisis. He must unravel a sinister global conspiracy before the true villain can unleash chaos worldwide.

In India, some viewers noted a character's resemblance to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, prompting discussions online. Director Julius Onah responded to these claims in an interview, clarifying, "The character was not created to mimic any real-life individuals. Our focus was solely on crafting an engaging narrative and delivering an entertaining film. I am excited about the collaboration with Anthony, Harrison, and the entire team."

The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford.

Following Captain America: Brave New World, Marvel is set to release Thunderbolts, which has been rebranded as 'The New Avengers.' This film will feature stars like Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Additionally, Marvel is preparing for the theatrical release of The Fantastic Four: The First Steps, scheduled for July 25, 2025.
