MSDE has announced the launch of its AI-powered digital skilling tool 'Skill India Assistant' (SIA). This is the first initiative of its kind on such a large scale in the world. According to the ministry, millions of Indians across the country will be able to access it. Through SIA, accessible on WhatsApp number 8448684032 and available on the Skill India Digital Hub, people will be able to get information about skilling courses, nearby training centers, and job opportunities according to their needs.

According to the Center, this initiative, implemented by Sarvam AI in partnership with Meta and NSDC, aims to fill the digital gap. This facility will completely change the way Indians connect with the benefits of skill development opportunities.

Currently, Skill India Assistant is available in Hinglish in addition to English and Hindi. In the coming time, it will be expanded to many other regional languages.
