At 13.2 overs, he bowled a length delivery that angled in on leg stump, looking like it might turn but didn't. Parag misjudged it, tried to go back and slog it over the leg side, but the ball skidded on, beat the inside edge, and knocked back the leg stump. Following that, Brar celebrated with his signature thigh-five. But what came right after that was Arshdeep and Harpreet's dual celebration, when the former walked forward and put the glass on Harpreet.

Apart from Riyan Parag's, Brar took Rajasthan Royals' two openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Viabhav Suryavangshi. Not only that, he has been the miser of all, giving 22 runs, and grabbed the player of the match award after playing a crucial role in Punjab's 10-run win.

"I am feeling really good. I would like to dedicate this award to my wife as it is my first after marriage."

shared insights from his discussion with coach Ricky Ponting, noting how Ponting always backed left-arm spinners against left-handers.

"We practice a lot against the left handers, Ponting Sir has told us that a leftie can get a leftie out. I have worked on that, I knew they would come after me but I backed to bowl to my strengths."

He kept his bowling strategy simple, avoiding loose deliveries:

"The way the wicket was playing and they were batting, the plan was to not give a boundary or give them an easy balls."

"He's taught me how to use the crease, how to read the batter and the wicket."
