Chinnaswamy was ready to pay tribute to Virat Kohli, dressed in white, but something happened that seemed to have triggered him. Virat Kohli has recently announced his retirement from Test cricket. Following that, his team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, was supposed to play Delhi Capitals on their home ground on May 17. Prior to that, on Thursday, while Virat was practicing at the nets, the DJ was repeatedly playing the RCB anthem song loudly, which triggered Kohli.
According to a report from Cricbuzz, Virat Kohli got annoyed due to the loud music being played from the stadium's sound system. He urged to stop the music, hoping to focus on hitting shots. On being complained to, the DJ stopped the music immediately.

Rain Ends KKR Playoff Hopes
Kolkata Knight Riders' IPL title defence ended in disappointment as heavy rain in Bengaluru washed out their match, eliminating them from the playoffs. The consistent downpour prevented any play, not even warm-ups. The single point from the washout took KKR to 12, with 14 being their maximum—insufficient, as three teams are already above that mark.
The rain, however, helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru secure playoff qualification, moving them to 17 points from 12 matches. While the one point was enough to ensure their place, RCB had hoped for a win to strengthen their bid for a top-two finish. Their main challengers were Gujarat Titans (16 from 11) and Punjab Kings (15 from 11).
A top-two finish is vital, offering two chances to reach the final. Unlike regular knockouts, teams finishing first or second get another opportunity if they lose the first playoff. Only once has a team outside the top two won the title—Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016.
The evening was especially frustrating for Virat Kohli fans, many of whom dressed in whites to honour his recent Test retirement. They now hope for better weather on Friday, when RCB hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad in their final league match.
