Ezra Miller made a surprise appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, despite keeping a low profile in recent years.
As reported by Variety, the 32-year-old actor showed up on the red carpet this week, glammed up in a burgundy tuxedo and trousers, sporting a beret and long hair. Although he walked the red carpet, he did not stop for photographs.
Ezra was there to support Die, My Love director Lynne Ramsay. Ramsay previously directed the 2011 film We Need To Talk About Kevin, in which Ezra played the titular role.
Ezra Miller has been the subject of gossip and controversy since being arrested in Hawaii in 2022 for allegedly attacking a couple in a bar. A month later, they were arrested again for allegedly throwing a chair at a woman’s head, causing injury.
Since the premiere of The Flash in 2023, Ezra has maintained a low profile. Following the movie’s release, The Flash director addressed how Ezra’s controversies affected the film’s box office performance.
The year before, the actor apologized for their recent behavior, revealing that they were seeking help for “complex mental health issues.”
Ramsay’s Die, My Love stars Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson, and Nick Nolte in a thriller about a mother in a rural area battling psychosis.
