Queen Camilla has shared an adorable photo showcasing her new , a sweet new addition to the firm following a devastating loss.

, 77, is a lifelong dog lover, being especially fond of . She previously adopted two from Battersea Dog's Home - Beth in 2011 and Bluebell 2012 - likenesses of whom were included on the skirts of her spectacular coronation gown. Her latest is Moley, a "mischievous” and “much-loved canine companion”, believed to be part Jack Russell, with revealing the pup in a sweet new photo and adding she had recently adopted him from Battersea.

The adoption comes after Beth sadly died in November 2024, revealed, with the Palace announcing the "sad farewell" in an official statement commemorating the "much-loved companion".

The statement read: "A sad farewell to Beth, The Queen’s much-loved companion from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who brought such joy, whether on walkies, helping on official duties, or curled up by the fire."

The picture is the first of the Queen with the dog, but not the first of Moley, who was previously pictured ahead of her visit to the Chelsea Flower Show.

The snap showed the tiny pup standing on a wooden chair while sporting an adorable red and blue collar, with her oversized ears poking into the air.

It came as both the King and Queen visited the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and Radio 2 Dog Garden designed by Monty Don earlier today, in which Moley made a special "appearance". Her name was inscribed on a brick path running through the garden, as were the names of dogs belonging to Radio 2 presents and ambassadors of the RHS.

Moley was adopted by earlier this year in February, with the royal revealing she had adopted a new eight-week old puppy during a previous engagement with a partially-sighted museum group.

She revealed the adoption during the engagement when she bent down to stroke a golden retriever guide dog, explaining she was named Moley because she looks "just like a mole".

The Queen remarked about how "affectionate" guide are. at the time, saying: "I’ve just got a new puppy, she’s eight-weeks old."

Speaking to owner Susan Mason, who asked about what breed Moley was, she said: "You may well ask, a bit of everything. It's a rescue dog. It's called Moley - it looks just like a mole."
