has been subjected to huge online backlash over one of the guests on the upcoming season 2 of her show With Love, Meghan. Given her and husband 's one of the celebrities featuring in the new series has struck a bum note. Having introduced viewers to celebrity friends such as Mindy Kaling and Fast and Furious star, Jordana Brewster in the first series, season two sees the duchess open the doors of the rented location to a whole new guest list including model, TV personality and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen. However, the announcement hasn't gone down well with the public who took to X to remind Meghan of bullying allegations made about the 39-year-old mum of four. In 2021 the sports illustrated model was where she used to troll people on Twitter.

"I want to thank Meghan Markle in advance for caring so much about US that she would have Chrissy Teigen on her Netflix show. The Kardashians even ghosted Chrissy! Thank you Meghan for giving us hilarious content so we can keep highlighting animal rescues that save lives! Service IS universal!" one wrote. "Oh YUCK!! Meghan Markle managed to find another celebrity disliked almost as much as she is! Chrissy Tiegen set to be a guest on Meghan Markle's upcoming With Love season 2" a second commented.

"So I guess we need to remind everyone why Chrissy Teigen was canceled by Hollywood. Meghan wants us to forget. Thank you SLOAN," a third chimed in.

"CHRISSY the bully 'take a dirt nap' TEIGEN IS MEGHAN'S BIGGEST GUEST (I wouldn't be showing off about this, it's embarrassing) #MeghanMarkle," a fourth opined.

In her 2021 apology Chrrisy apologised profusely for her "worst moments", saying she realised just how much she had offended people during a "very humbling few weeks" of reflection. Taking to , she shared a lengthy piece written from the heart, where she began by addressing her social media silence. "I know I've been quiet, and Lord knows you don't want to hear about me, but I want you to know I've been sitting in a hole of deserved global punishment, the ultimate 'sit here and think about what you've done,'" she wrote.

"Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven't felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I've said in the past. As you know, a bunch of my old awful (awful, awful) tweets resurfaced. I'm truly ashamed of them. As I look at them and understand the hurt they caused, I have to stop and wonder: How could I have done that? I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry."

She admitted she was "insecure, immature and in a world where I thought I needed to impress strangers to be accepted" and explained she jumped on a "pop culture pile-on" to "gain attention" to show off what she believed at the time was a "crude, clever, harmless quip". "I thought it made me cool and relatable if I poked fun at celebrities," she penned. "I ask that you allow me, as I promise to allow you, to own past mistakes and be given the opportunity to seek self improvement and change."

She also claimed she had made a public apology to Courtney Stodden in May 2021 after the star had called her out for "bullying" her when she was a teenager. "I'm in the process of privately reaching out to the people I insulted. It's like my own version of that show My Name is Earl! I understand that they may not want to speak to me. I don't think I'd like to speak to me... There is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets. My targets didn't deserve them. No one does. Many of them needed empathy, kindness, understanding and support, not my meanness masquerading as a kind of casual, edgy humor."
