Changes in Kotak Mahindra Bank's credit card rulesKotak Mahindra Bank has recently announced new rules for credit card holders.

These new rules will come into effect from June 1, 2025. 1. Fee limit increased on auto-debit failure If the bill payment through auto debit of the customers' credit card fails, then a 2% fee will be charged. Yashwant minimum Rs 450 will be charged. After this rule of Kotak Mahindra Bank, it has now become important to ensure timely payment, otherwise customers will have to pay additional charges. 2. Fee on utility bill payment If customers pay utility bills beyond a certain period in each statement cycle, then they will have to pay a one percent fee.

Utility bills like water bill, electricity bill, gas etc. However, this fee will not be applicable on Kotak Mahindra Bank's White Reserve, Kotak Solitaire, Kotak Infinity, Kotak Signature and Myntra Kotak credit cards. From June 1, normal credit card holders may have to bear the burden of additional cost on utility bills, in such a situation, it may be beneficial to consider an alternate date for payment. 3. Fuel expenditure fee If customers spend more than a fixed limit on fuel, then they will have to pay a one percent fee. This fee will not be applicable on Indian Oil Kotak Card and other premium cards.

To avoid this fee, customers will have to keep an eye on their spending limit or else they may have to pay additional fee. 4. Charges on dynamic currency conversionAdditional charges may apply for using dynamic currency conversion (DCC) in international transactions. New charges will also apply to education-related payments, details of which are available on the bank's official website. 5. Changes in reward points and cashbackRestrictions on earning reward points in certain categories and revision in cashback redemption value have been introduced.

Customers may have to change their spending strategy.
