The games line-up is among the best ever, featuring a selection of new first-party games, as well as some high-profile third-party ports. This includes the likes of Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza and Cyberpunk 2077.

If the latest rumours are to be believed, then the line-up could get even better, as one of the best games of all time is reportedly coming to the Switch 2.

Indeed, a new report has suggested that Red Dead Redemption 2 may get ported to the Switch 2 at some point in the future.

That's according to , which suggests is working on a Red Dead 2 port for Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

A Rockstar source has reportedly told the site that Red Dead Redemption 2 could make its debut for the aforementioned consoles as early as this year.

Likewise, the report suggests that the game could get a "next-gen" upgrade that would enhance existing versions of the title.

This would likely add new graphical enhancements, as well as controller support for the likes of PS5 and Switch 2.

A prequel to Red Dead Redemption, the follow-up is considered to be one of the best games ever, earning a massive 97% score on the likes of Metacritic.

The scores have seen Red Dead 2 climb to the top of the PS4 rankings on Metacritic, where it's above the likes of The Last of Us and Persona 5.

The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has already benefited from a variety of upgrades to gameplay and visuals.

This includes increased draw distances, higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting.

That's on top of improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances, tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.

Elsewhere, the PC version of Red Dead 2 offers HDR support, the ability to run in 4K, widescreen support and faster frame rates.

Needless to say, these improvements would likely be at the centre of any sort of next-gen upgrade for the open-world action game.
