Iron Man star Gwyneth Paltrow has come out to shed light on her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markleand the latter’s Netflix show. Her comments come after rumors around a supposed fallout between the duo started making rounds on the internet sometime earlier. While both squashed such theories by publicly denying them, the Academy Award winner has reiterated the duo’s solidarity in a recent interview.

So, here’s what the 52-year-old actress had to say about her relationship with the former Suits star.

Gwyneth Paltrow talks about Meghan Markle friendship

While speaking at Los Angeles’ Mindvalley Manifesting Summit on May 17, the Shakespeare in Love star opened up about the dynamics she shares with Meghan Markle. While the two reside in the same neighborhood of Montecito, California, she noted that they have “not yet” shared much time in person.

“We have a text friendship so far. I’ve been traveling quite a bit,” Gwyneth Paltrow explained to People. She also confirmed her intentions to make an appearance on the second season of Markle’s Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. The actress/businesswoman stated, “Sure! Why not? You never know. I don’t bake that well, but I can always try.”

The lifestyle television series, which made its debut on Netflix on March 4 earlier this year, revolves around the interactions of Meghan Markle and her celebrity guests in a California estate as they hold conversations on multiple topics, such as cooking and gardening.

Gwyneth Paltrow then addressed the previous rumors of her supposed beef with Meghan Markle. She shared, “I don’t like that, when people try to pit women against each other.” The veteran thespian had already put the said speculations to bed in March by collaborating with Markle for an Instagram story.

In the video, Paltrow scoffed at the feud rumors between the pair, noting, “I genuinely do not understand this at all whatsoever.” She subsequently panned the camera to Markle, who was seen eating some pie and laughing while being seated at Paltrow’s kitchen table.
