Hyderabad: Director SS Rajamouli recently praised a small Tamil film, Tourist Family, which is quietly gaining attention. The film stars Sasikumar and Simran, and was released alongside Suriya’s Retro.

Though made on a small budget, Tourist Family has already earned over Rs 50 crore in Tamil Nadu. Rajamouli watched the film and shared his thoughts on social media, writing:

“Saw a wonderful, wonderful film Tourist Family. Heartwarming and packed with rib-tickling humor. And kept me intrigued from beginning till end. Great writing and direction by Abishan Jeevinth. Thank you for the best cinematic experience in recent years. Don’t miss it.”

The film’s director, Abishan Jeevinth, was surprised and emotional after seeing Rajamouli’s post.

“I watched his films with stars in my eyes, never imagining that one day, the man who built those worlds would speak my name. This isn’t just a dream – it’s magic.” he wrote.

Many viewers have praised the film’s simple story, humour, and strong writing. With Rajamouli’s support, there is hope that Tourist Family will be released in other languages, including Telugu.

If that happens, the film might reach even more people and get the recognition it deserves.
