Traffic Advisory Issued Ahead of IPL Match
Delhi: In anticipation of the Tata IPL 2025 game featuring Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 20, 2025, the Delhi Traffic Police has released a detailed traffic advisory. This advisory will be in effect from 5:30 PM until midnight, outlining various traffic restrictions and diversions for both commuters and attendees. Spectators are encouraged to utilize designated entry points, parking facilities, and taxi drop-off zones to minimize congestion.
To ensure public safety and facilitate smooth traffic movement, the Delhi Police will implement significant diversions and restrictions on major routes including BSZ Marg, JLN Marg, and Asaf Ali Road. Commuters are advised to plan their travels accordingly, as heavy traffic is anticipated in the area during the match from 7 PM to 11:30 PM.
Key Diversion Points and Restrictions
– Entry for heavy vehicles and buses is prohibited on the following routes:
– From Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg
– From Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road

– JLN Marg: From Rajghat to Delhi Gate up to Kamla Market Roundabout
– Asaf Ali Road: From Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate
– Bahadurshah Zafar Marg: From Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk

Gate Nos. 1 to 8: Entry from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg
Gate Nos. 10 to 15: Entry from JLN Marg
Gate Nos. 16 to 18: Entry from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg near the Petrol Pump
