New Delhi: So far 61 matches have been played in IPL 2025 (IPL 2025). Now only 9 more matches will be played in the League Stage. But given the playoff race, all these matches are very important. But this time the rain and monsoon have affected the tournament many times. The result of 3 matches could not be released due to rain. In such a situation, the BCCI has taken a big decision for the remaining matches. The BCCI has implemented new rules and additional time in view of the uncertainty of the weather so that the matches can be made fair and exciting.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has extended the additional time fixed for the IPL match for one hour. From May 20, there will be a 120 -minute additional waiting time in all IPL matches. Earlier this period was only one hour and the BCCI said that changes in sports conditions (Claus 13.7.3) are being implemented with immediate effect. The BCCI has informed all the teams about this change.
The BCCI issued a statement saying, “Like the playoff stage, an additional one hour will be allocated for the game position for the remaining matches of the league stage starting on Tuesday, May 20.” Earlier, in the conditions of the match playing it was determined that an additional 60 -minute additional time was available to start the match in case of delay for league matches. This time used to increase to 120 minutes in playoff matches. But the IPL Governing Council has now changed it.
The IPL Governing Council has also announced Venue for the playoff matches. The decision of Venue has also been taken keeping in mind the rain. The final of IPL 2025 will now be played on 3 June at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, while the qualifier 2 will also be held here on June 1. Apart from this, Maharaja Yadvindra Singh International Cricket Stadium of Mullanpur will host qualifiers 1 and Eliminator on May 29 and 30.
