AICTE Productization Fellowship: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the AICTE Productization Fellowship (APF) program as a major initiative to promote innovation among student-entrepreneurs. The APF initiative will provide support to students interested in innovation, helping them to convert promising ideas into market-ready products and services.

Students of AICTE-approved institutions can apply for this. This fellowship will provide financial assistance to students studying in higher education for the development of innovative products or services that solve the problems of society.

What is Fellowship?

This fellowship of AICTE helps student teams to travel the path from proof of concept to prototype creation, testing, market recognition, and commercialization. Candidates have to apply for the fellowship as a team (not individually). During this time, students will not have to accept any other financial assistance. Apart from this, the patent and commercial rights of the project will be with both the institute and the student.

Who is eligible?

To apply for this, the student should be pursuing full-time graduation, post-graduation, or a PhD from institutes or universities recognized by AICTE. The team can have a maximum of three members (four in special cases). Students from any other institute can also apply, but a bona fide certificate is required for them.

However, special priority will be given to those students who have been participants or winners in a hackathon, grand challenge, or innovation competition.

Amount of monthly fellowship

The financial assistance under the fellowship is aimed at helping students convert their proof of concepts into prototypes, test and commercialize innovations. Therefore, the selected teams will get a monthly fellowship of Rs 37,000 for two years. Each team will also get an annual contingency grant of up to Rs 50,000 for miscellaneous development expenses.

How to apply
If you are eligible for AICTE's APF Fellowship Programme and wish to apply, you can apply online by logging into the AICTE Yukti portal yukti.mic.gov.in.
