Crystal Palace defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-2 in the Premier League on Tuesday, celebrating their FA Cup success in style with two goals from Eddie Nketiah on their party night.

Three days after defeating Manchester City at Wembley to win the first major trophy in the south London club’s history, Palace played their last home game of the season. The atmosphere was ecstatic as they responded to win the three points.

When Wolves grabbed the lead with Emmanuel Agbadou’s header in the 24th minute, the carnival mood was momentarily disrupted. However, Selhurst Park was in full swing when Nketiah scored twice in five minutes before halftime.

The roar in the stadium hardly subsided as Wolves cut the deficit with a glancing header from Jorgen Strand Larsen, but Ben Chilwell’s free kick rebounded off Agbadou’s head to make it 3-1 in the 50th minute.

Eberechi Eze, the Cup final goal hero, was brought on by twelfth-place Palace, who made six changes to the starting lineup versus City, in the 81st minute. After a jinking run, he put the cherry on top with a brilliant angled finish.

With 52 points—the most Palace has ever accumulated in the Premier League—Oliver Glasner’s team will play winners Liverpool on Sunday to cap off an incredible season.

Agbadou’s header from a corner almost crossed the line, giving the impression that Palace could be suffering from an FA Cup hangover after Saturday’s historic events.

After starting on the bench against Palace and coming off the bench at Wembley, Nketiah seized the opportunity to score his first league goals in three months.

Romain Esse cut back to former Arsenal attacker Nketiah, who sent a shot past Wolves keeper Dan Bentley, who should have done better, three minutes after Palace had fallen behind.

Shortly after, Nketiah was back at it, assisting Ismaila Sarr in a low cross for his 50th senior career goal.

It’s a huge day for us, and we’re excited and buzzing. Our manager was eager to continue the festivities and keep it going. We won because everyone was shooting,” Nketiah said.

“It will be fantastic to have European nights here, and the unity between the players and fans is incredible.”

Joel Ward, a longtime Palace defender who donned the captain’s armband for his 364th and last game after 13 years with the team, had a memorable evening.

What a fitting way to end. The 35-year-old said, “I couldn’t have written a better story and a better ending.”

Palace will compete in the Europa League next season as a result of their FA Cup victory.
