According to a report by MoneyControl, which cited records obtained by real estate analytics company CRE Matrix, former Indian cricket player Shikhar Dhawan made a significant real estate investment by paying Rs 69 crore for a luxurious flat in DLF’s The Dahlias in Gurugram.
The 6,040-square-foot ultra-luxurious property is located in Sector 54 of Gurugram’s The Dahlias at DLF5 Golf Links. Dhawan paid Rs 3.28 crore in stamp duty for the valuable property when it was registered in the first week of February 2025.
The flat costs Rs 65.61 crore, according to the documents, and the overall cost, including stamp duty, comes to Rs 68.89 crore. There are five parking spaces in the unit.
The carpet area apartment costs Rs 114,068.61 per square foot, while the super area flat costs Rs 108,631. In India, this is one of the priciest transactions.
The Dahlias, regarded as the priciest residential development in India, is situated on Golf Course Road in DLF Phase-5, Gurugram, next to DLF’s already-established luxury property, The Camellias. The Dahlias is a 17-acre property with 7.5 million square feet of potential for development.
The Dahlias has around 420 ultra-luxurious apartments spread across eight stories and 29 floors. In the first phase, DLF issued 173 apartments, all of which were sold out. In the past, DLF sold two penthouses at The Dahlias for a total of Rs 150 crore each.
Last year, India’s top batsman, Shikhar Dhawan, declared his retirement from both domestic and international cricket, stating that he was happy with his career after realizing his ambition of playing for his nation.
