Udaipur, May 21, 2025 — In a historic feat of engineering and execution, Patel Infrastructure Ltd. has set a World Record for the fastest six-lane bituminous concrete road construction on the under-construction Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. The company laid a staggering 34.24 km of expressway within 24 hourssolidifying its name in global construction history.

Record-Breaking Achievement

Executed on May 17–18, 2025the project involved:

  • 34.24 km of six-lane expressway

  • 20,105 metric tons of bituminous concrete

  • 1,71,210 square meters of surface area covered

  • 10 km of metal beam crash barrier installed by Road Shield Pvt. Ltd. (a Patel Group company)

This extraordinary milestone has been officially certified by the Golden Book of World Records, India Book of Recordsand Asia Book of Records.

A Dream Project Backed by Visionary Leadership

The record was achieved as part of the Group-3 section of the Ganga Expressway between Hardoi and Unnao—a flagship infrastructure initiative under Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) and being executed by Adani Road and Transport Ltd. (ARTL)an Adani Group company.

Launched under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi adityanaththe Ganga Expressway is India’s longest state-owned expressway and a pivotal link in Uttar Pradesh’s economic and logistical development.

Seamless Coordination & Execution

Operations began at 5:00 AM on May 17 and concluded at 5:00 AM on May 18involving a non-stop 24-hour construction marathon. This highly orchestrated effort included synchronized deployment of:

  • Skilled engineers and supervisors

  • State-of-the-art road laying machinery

  • Continuous supply chains for material logistics

  • Tireless round-the-clock labor teams

The execution was supervised by Manoj Kumar SinghCEO of UPEIDA, with full backing from local and state authorities.
