Washington, DC [United States] The first few weeks of filming “House of the Dragon,” a spin-off of the wildly popular “Game of Thrones,” were difficult for actress Milly Alcock.
The actress Alcock, who portrayed young Rhaenyra Targaryen on “House of the Dragon,” recalled being told to get an acting coach by someone in a “very high up” position after seeing her performance on the second day of the shoot during a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show,” as reported by Variety.
“On my second day on ‘House of the Dragon,’ one of the, I’m not gonna say who, but someone very high up, pulled me aside and was like, ‘Um, we’re gonna get you an acting coach,'” Alcock was cited as saying by Variety.
The actor, who was already anxious about portraying the ‘Thrones’ universe’s legendary figure Rhaenyra, became much more anxious after the event.
“It only reaffirmed what I already knew to be somewhat accurate, which is that I’m not very good at my work. You understand! ‘I can’t do this,’ I thought. This is awful. According to Variety, Alcock stated, “This is a big mistake.”
‘House of the Dragon’ starred Milly Alcock as a young Rhaenyra Targaryen, and despite the early difficult times, the audience praised her performance.
In Season 1 of “House of the Dragon,” Alcock costarred with Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, and Rhys Ifans; however, he only appeared in passing in Season 2.
According to Variety, “House of the Dragon” Season 3 shooting started in March.
The publication claims that Tommy Flanagan, Dan Fogler, Tom Cullen, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane are among the new cast members for the third season.
Based on the fantasy book “Fire & Blood” by “Thrones” author George R.R. Martin, “House of the Dragon” takes place around 200 years before to the events of “Game of Thrones.”
