When Janhvi Kapoor walked the red carpet at the current Cannes Film Festival 2025, she attracted notice. People have been falling in love with her Tarun Tahiliani outfit. The internet is raving over the Mr. & Mrs. Mahi actress’s natural radiance when she posted a photo in her hotel room without makeup today.

Janhvi posted a picture of herself sitting on a chair while wearing a crimson robe on her Instagram stories. The actress looked lovely without wearing any makeup. Many people think that her beautiful Tarun Tahiliani costume was an homage to her late mother, the renowned actress Sridevi. The intricately detailed, structured robe was compared to Indian royalty. The fashion website Diet Sabya claims that Janhvi was taking inspiration from her mother, Sridevi, when she wore the ensemble. Director Neeraj Ghaywan, producer Karan Johar, and co-stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa from Homebound joined her on the red carpet.

Co-star Ishaan and director Neeraj were seen kindly assisting Janhvi in navigating her voluminous gown on the red carpet so she could pose for the cameras with ease. Fans were immediately won over by the touching moment that was captured on the live broadcast from Cannes. Social media users quickly praised Ishaan’s attention to detail by calling him “cute” and “thoughtful.”

Ishaan and Neeraj were seen holding Janhvi’s hand as she cautiously made her way down the stairs in a different video shot in a hotel lobby before the red carpet.

Janhvi, Ishaan, and Vishal play key parts in Neeraj Ghaywan’s film Homebound. The movie will have its Cannes debut in the Un Certain Regard division. Martin Scorsese’s role as executive producer has also brought the project widespread notice.

“After Mr. Scorsese joined the team… I’ve been putting this off for ten months, but I’m not sure whether I’m allowed to say that. Ishaan assured PTI, “I can keep a secret.” It’s weird; it’s a dream. I can’t wait for Cannes. I’ve always desired to use my own movie. I’m glad it’s a movie for my first time.

Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Karan Johar are the film’s backers. Melita Toscan Du Plantier and Marijke de Souza are co-producers. Masaan, which debuted in the Un Certain Regard category, was Neeraj’s most recent Cannes production.
