Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound was recently screened at the 78th Cannes Film Festival and bagged a 9-minute standing ovation from the audience.
Fans were elated to witness the much awaited team of HOMEBOUND walking down the red carpet. Post the premiere, the audience stood up and clapped for the team with immense pride.
The love and support for HOMEBOUND
The team soaked in the love on emotional terms. In a video, producer Karan Johar consoled director Neeraj Ghaywan, who seems emotional to the amazing crown response.
The video shared by news portal Pinkvilla showcased audience applauding with complete grace for the Indian contingent. Janhvi’s father, Boney Kapoor, shed the tears amidst Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi’s rumored boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya.
In a second clip, cast members Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa, were seen sharing a group hug with director Ghaywan. Meanwhile, fans embraced the moment when KJo subtly wiping his tears in the moment of utmost joy.
Previously, Ishaan posted a note of gratitude towards the HOMEBOUND’s team, “We’re ‘HOMEBOUND’ to Cannes babyyyyyyy. A film that I knew was special from the moment it entered my life and my most challenging part yet. This is what dreams are made of. Pure intention, grit, compassion and truth. One of the proudest moments of my cinematic journey thus far.
