The problem of stray cows in Delhi has become a serious challenge, causing accidents on the road. Recently, the Chief Minister’s convoy in Hyderpur also stopped due to stray cows. To solve this problem, the BJP government of Delhi has started the initiative.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday invited the dairy owners of Delhi to the Delhi Secretariat and listened to their problems. He said that many schemes will be worked out in future to solve these problems.
During this time, he cited the apathy of the AAP government of the former as a major reason for this problem. He said that the Kejriwal government did not take any concrete steps to conserve cows and dairy owners. Delhi Government Development Minister Kapil Mishra was also present in the meeting.

According to the Chief Minister’s announcement, the Delhi government has decided to focus on the development of facilities in the dairy colonies of the capital and focus on cow-dynasty management. Under this scheme, water system, drains cleaning, and sewage management will be improved in authorized dairies, as well as bio gas plants will also be set up. In addition, the cowsheds will be expanded and new cowsheds will also be built. The government will ensure that no cow or animal moves on the roads, so that everyone can get a safe and clean environment. The Chief Minister said that a budget of Rs 40 crore has been allocated to set up a model cow shed with modern facilities in Ghummanhera.
In a high -level meeting, the Chief Minister asked the representatives of the Deris, Gaushala operators, MCD and senior officials of Animal Husbandry Department that the Delhi government will ensure concrete and effective solutions. He also clarified that there should be no negligence in the care of the animals which have been removed from the roads and sent to the cowsheds. Along with this, the need to take all necessary steps to make proper arrangements of sanitation, fodder, medicine and shelter for animals was emphasized.

In the meeting, dairy operators shared their problems. He said that there is a severe lack of water in the dairies, the cleaning condition is extremely poor, the sewer system is also pathetic, and the bio-gas plants installed for cow dung management are either not working or completely absent.
He told that the former government gave many assurances, but they were not fulfilled. The Chief Minister said that this meeting has been organized to solve your problems, so that an effective solution can be found to this serious issue.
