Many social media images depict extensive damage, emphasizing subpar buildings, as violent hailstorms and torrential rains devastated Delhi and the surrounding area, taking lives and destroying infrastructure. The damage in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was far greater than the extent of Wednesday’s hailstorm. Netizens contend that since builders cut corners on building quality, Noida is not unusual in experiencing damage from inclement weather.

After a railing collapsed in Greater Noida, two people died.
Following Wednesday’s storm, a grill collapsed at the Migsun Ultimo Society in Sector Omicron 3, killing an elderly mother and her two-year-old grandson. The child’s grave condition led to his transfer to Apollo Hospital, where he also passed away from his injuries after the woman’s head was severed.

Following the event, members of the Migsun Ultimo Society protested on the 130-meter road, causing a 4-kilometer traffic gridlock. There is a substantial police presence at the location. The residents are requesting that the builder be called in since they claim that the disaster happened as a result of the builder’s carelessness. To attempt to disperse the demonstrators, senior police officers have come.

Numerous Structures Were Destroyed
The main gate of the Apex Golf Avenue society fell during Wednesday’s downpour and storm, according to a video released by an X account.

Images of a “damaged balcony door and window” from a residence in Supertech EcoVillage 2 in Greater Noida West were posted by another X user, @IMAntiSecular. Family barely makes it out alive. “What kind of construction material are they using?” he inquired.

A pole in front of the Sector-145 metro station on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway fell during the storm on Wednesday.
