According to the PTI, the fire started at approximately 1:30 am on Wednesday at the Jindal Poly Films Ltd. facility on the Nashik-Mumbai highway in Igatpuri taluka.

According to a local police spokesman, it began in a shed used to store waste items.

He said that no one was hurt in the event and that around 30 firemen were attempting to put out the fire.

In a stock market report on Wednesday, Jindal Poly Films said that the fire had impacted output in a portion of the factory.

In a separate incident, authorities stated Thursday that a huge fire that was started by a spark in a transformer during a storm destroyed almost 200 homes in Tappa Jamni hamlet in Budaun district, according to the PTI.

Local reports said that while the residents fled to escape the Wednesday night fire that killed several animals, one human was burned.

About 200 homes in the hamlet were turned to ashes by the time police and firefighters arrived to put out the fire, according to authorities, as reported by the PTI.

“The fire was started during a storm on Wednesday night,” said District Magistrate Avnish Kumar Rai. One individual suffered burn injuries, however no one perished in the event.
