He even said that he wanted freedom from it.

Demand for independence from the character was raised

Paresh Rawal further said, “Hera Pheri was released in the year 2006. I went to meet Vishal Bhardwaj in the year 2007. I told him that Vishal Bhai, I have a film (2000 dancer in the dark). I want to get rid of its image. You can get rid of this. You can do this. Whatever comes, he has a hera fare. I used to do the same in 2022.

Hera Pheri, released in 2000, proved to be a superhit. Apart from Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty were also seen in the lead roles. The trio also rocked the Hera Pheri 3 released in 2006. The three were also finalized for Hera Pheri 3. The direction was commanded by Priyadarshan. It is being built under Akshay’s production house ‘Cape of Good Films’. When Paresh left the film, Akshay’s production house gave him a legal notice with a compensation of 25 crores. Also, his team told that millions of rupees have already been given to the actor.
