According to Minister Narayana of Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development, plans are on to begin construction on the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail Project by October. He said that proposals to build the metro utilizing a double-decker style had been included in a detailed project report (DPR).
The minister also instructed authorities to guarantee prompt completion of the ongoing work to open the Bhogapuram International Airport by April of next year.
The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) headquarters had a review meeting on Wednesday to discuss development in the districts of Uttarandhra. VMRDA Chairman Pranav Gopal, Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao, Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, and other public officials attended the gathering.
Minister Narayana told the media that 15 roads leading to Bhogapuram Airport will be finished as soon as possible. He said that the previous administration was unable to finish even 2 lakh of the 7 lakh TIDCO residences that the government had planned to build around the state between 2014 and 2019. He promised that Dussehra will provide these homes to the recipients.
The master plan for the combined mandals, the Visakhapatnam–Kakinada Petroleum, Chemicals, and Petrochemicals Investment Region (VK PCPIR), and VMRDA’s long-term development objectives were also included in the review.

Building a semi-ring road that would go through Visakhapatnam district and connect Rambilli in Anakapalli district to Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district
MLAs Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, Vishnukumar Raju, Vamsikrishna Srinivas, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, Aditi Gajapathi Raju, Lokam Nagamadhavi, Kolla Lalitha Kumari, and Bellana Appalanaidu, the MP for Vizianagaram, were among those present at the meeting.
