fell awkwardly twice in the same over in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 22.

The left-arm seamer was set to share the new ball with Mohammed Siraj at the colossal venue. He ran in to bowl the first ball from over the wicket to Aiden Markram. However, instead of landing on the spikes, he landed on the side of the boot. He slid and fell, much to the shock of the players and fans, as the physio came out to attend him.

After a brief break, he continued bowling. He looked a bit rattled and understandably so as he landed awkwardly on the left side of his body. Arshad bowled a wide and conceded two boundaries before slipping once again as he set to bowl the fifth ball of the over. After this, the ground staff scraped and poured sawdust on the landing area.

The physio checked on Arshad, and the 27-year-old once again continued bowling. He finished the over well, conceding just one run off the last two balls. However, after completing the over, he went off the field and was replaced by Mahipal Lomror.

Meanwhile, LSG got off to a solid start as opener Markram and Mitchell Marsh added 53 runs inside the powerplay. Meanwhile, LSG have been eliminated from the race to playoffs and are playing only for pride after a mixed season. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans have qualified for the next stage alongside Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) and are vying for a spot in the top two to gain an additional chance of qualifying for the summit clash.
