One of Türkiye’s most prominent businessmen, Inan Kirac, has allegedly been abducted, Turkish media outlets reported late Thursday.

Kirac was reportedly taken by unidentified individuals from the custody of his legal guardians while undergoing a medical check-up at a hospital in Istanbul’s Zeytinburnu district.

According to a report by CNN Turk’s Nihat Uludag, Kirac may have left the facility with his own driver, possibly at his own request. “However, this information has not been verified. His family relations have been turbulent recently. He got married not long ago. The 2nd Family Court had issued a restraining order concerning his spouse. At the moment, teams are searching for Inan Kirac everywhere,” Uludag said.

Authorities have not issued an official statement regarding Kirac’s whereabouts or the ongoing search efforts.
