Ltd., opened a brand-new, fully furnished waiting space for relatives of prisoners at Pune’s famed Yerwada Central Jail. Cybage’s conviction that every person deserves dignity—especially those who silently endure emotional suffering on the fringes of incarceration—is the foundation of our visitor welfare program.

This visitor center represents a subtle but significant shift in how society views the invisible—those who suffer without acknowledgment or voice. These families now have access to clean, secure, and respectable infrastructure that acknowledges their physical and mental challenges, whether they are elderly parents traveling long distances or moms carrying children.

“This is more than just a physical building; it’s a place created with compassion and a profound awareness of silent suffering. Families, usually from isolated communities, travel long and emotionally taxing distances every day to see loved ones incarcerated. They have been waiting outside for years, subject to the elements—sun, rain, and condemnation. We intended to convey with this project that “you are seen, you are valued, and you deserve dignity.” Our goal at Cybage Foundation has always been to direct our CSR initiatives toward tangible, quantifiable, and compassionate results. Ritu Nathani, the head of the Cybage Foundation and board director of Cybage Software Pvt. Ltd., said, “This project reflects that belief, to fill the silent gaps that most do not think to address.”

The facility has a covered pathway to conference rooms, sanitary sanitation units, drinking water stations, a snack kiosk, a mother’s feeding area, and seating for more than 1,000 people. A legal consulting room and well-organized registration counters to facilitate visitor flow are additional features of the new location. Under its CSR program, the Cybage Foundation oversaw the project’s entire development, collaborating closely with local government agencies and prison officials.

The endeavor was hailed as a historic partnership by Mr. Sunil Dhamal, Superintendent of Prison at Yerwada Central Prison in Pune, who stated: “Families that come here frequently bear emotional agony that no one sees. Despite its simple design, this facility will significantly improve their experience. We are grateful to the Cybage Foundation for this kind gesture.

With its rich history and tradition, Yerwada Central Jail is now the site of a project that embodies the next wave of compassionate infrastructure. This waiting room is a testament to what occurs when compassion and action are combined, with over 3.5 lakh visitors estimated to benefit each year.
