When do children need a PAN card?

How to get a child's PAN card made?
To get a child's PAN card made, you first have to go to the NSDL website.
There you have to fill out Form 49A. To fill out Form 49A, read all the instructions carefully and fill in all the personal information by choosing the right category.
After this, upload the necessary documents including the child's birth certificate and parents' photo.
Apart from this, you will need to upload the signatures of the child's parents and also pay a fee of about Rs 100, after which you will be able to submit the form.
Then you will get a receipt number, which you can use to know the status of the application.
After applying for a PAN card, you will get an email. Within 15 days of its verification, the PAN card will be made and sent to you.
