Traffic stopped on the M11 towards Cambridge at around 3pm on May 23 following a vehicle fire. By the time fire crews arrived, the van fire had spread to a nearby hedgerow.

Drivers reported long delays on the M11 northbound towards Cambridge, between J9 Great Chesterford and J10 Duxford.

National Highways reported: "Traffic is being held on the M11 northbound between J9 Great Chesterford and J10 Duxford due to a van fire. @cambsfrs on scene. We'll keep you updated, please expect delays."
