The administration of Hyderabad Metro Rail has declared a change to ticket rates that will go into effect today. The new fee structure states that the lowest ticket price is Rs. 11 and the highest rate is Rs. 69. At first, it was suggested that the prices be raised to a minimum of Rs. 12 and a maximum of Rs. 75. However, the management changed their mind after receiving strong criticism from travelers.

The management has implemented a 10% reduction on the rates that have been raised in an attempt to lessen the financial burden on passengers. Depending on how the ticket was purchased, this discount will change, with specific consideration given to users of mobile applications, tokens, and smart cards. During this changeover, metro authorities have pledged to make services more accessible to all travelers.

The updated tariffs took into account a number of variables, such as overall trip experience, ticket sales, and passenger congestion. The goal of these changes, according to officials, is to encourage more people to use metro services while making sure that these services are provided with the necessary safety measures in place.
