If you aspire to become a scientist in the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), here’s your chance! DRDO has announced recruitment for multiple Scientist posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official DRDO Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) website at . The notification is expected to be published in the first week of June in Rozgar Samachar, and the last date to apply will be 21 days from that publication.

  • Scientist ‘B’ in DRDO: 127 posts
  • Scientist/Engineer ‘B’ in ADA: 9 posts
  • Cadre post of Scientist ‘B’: 12 posts

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Educational Qualification: First-class Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • GATE Score: A valid GATE score is mandatory.
  • Age Limit:
    • General & EWS: Maximum 35 years
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Maximum 38 years
    • SC/ST: Maximum 40 years
Application Fee:
  • General, EWS, and OBC (male) candidates: ₹100 (non-refundable, payable online)
  • SC/ST, Divyangjan, and female candidates: No application fee
Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:10 ratio (category and subject-wise) based on their GATE scores. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview in Delhi or another venue designated by RAC/DRDO. The final selection will be based on a combined score:

  • 80% weightage to GATE score
  • 20% weightage to interview marks
