On Saturday, Information Technology Minister Krishna Kumar Mantu inaugurated the foundation for a new unit of Superseva Global Services Pvt Ltd at the Bela Industrial Area in Muzaffarpur. This marks the first IT company to receive land outside of Patna, establishing a significant presence in the region.
This event marks the second IT company to lay its foundation in Bihar within a month. Previously, on April 25, the IT Minister had also laid the groundwork for Benchmark IT Solutions in the Bihta Industrial Area of Patna.
During the ceremony, Mantu emphasized that Bihar is emerging as an IT hub, comparable to other advanced states in India. He noted that numerous major companies are now interested in investing in Bihar, aligning with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's commitment to creating job opportunities for the youth in the state.
Superseva Global is recognized for developing software for prominent firms such as Adobe, Barclays, DLF, IBM, IHCL, P&G, Microsoft, Optum, and Wipro. The company operates not only in the UK and the USA but also across 16 cities in India. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Special Secretary of the IT department, highlighted that the state government is offering subsidized plots and incentives for capital investment under the Bihar IT Policy 2024.
Chaudhary further explained that the company would benefit from SGST reimbursement as part of the incentives outlined in the IT policy. Additionally, firms investing outside Patna and Danapur municipal areas will receive a 10% extra incentive to promote balanced regional development, which applies to Superseva Global Services due to its investment in Muzaffarpur.
CEO Kumud Sharma announced that the company plans to commence operations within a year, with an initial investment of Rs 8 crore, projected to rise to Rs 20 to Rs 25 crore over the next five years. This venture is expected to create over 100 job opportunities. The event was also attended by the company’s Managing Director Ajay Shankar Sharma and several other officials.
