New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Preliminary exam, which is the first step for aspiring Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officers, was successfully held today, May 25. This UPSC Civil Service Prelims paper, divided into two sessions, was conducted from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM for General Studies (GS) Paper 1 and from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM for GS Paper 2 or Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). With the exam concluded, candidates and experts found the paper to be moderate in terms of difficulty level.
The questions in geography, environment, science and technology sections were basically on current affairs. Most of the questions in the polity and geography sections were from the NCERT.
In the UPSC prelim paper 1, the questions were on current affairs, science and technology, history, the Indian Constitution and others were asked. The overall level of the exam was moderate according to experts.
