Classen’s Tornado: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klassen has created history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. In a match played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Klassen scored a stormy century off just 37 balls. With this, he has become the batsman to score the third fastest century jointly in IPL history. During this explosive innings, he equaled the 15 -year -old record of Indian veteran Yusuf Pathan, who scored a century in the same balls against Mumbai Indians for Rajasthan Royals in 2010.

In his unbeaten 105 -run innings, Klassen faced 7 fours and 9 sixes, facing 39 balls. Thanks to his fiery batting, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored a huge score of 278 runs in front of KKR, which is also the third largest team score in IPL history.This was Klassen’s second century in the IPL. With this century, he also became the batsman to score the fastest century for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he broke the record of Travis Head (39 balls).[

मैच में टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने उतरी SRH को ट्रैविस हेड (40 गेंदों में 76 रन) और अभिषेक शर्मा (16 गेंदों में 32 रन) ने शानदार शुरुआत दिलाई थी।इसके बाद नंबर तीन पर बल्लेबाजी करने उतरे क्लासेन ने शुरू से ही आक्रामक रुख अपनाया और KKR के गेंदबाजों की जमकर धुनाई की। आंद्रे रसेल, सुनील नरेन और वरुण चक्रवर्ती जैसे अनुभवी गेंदबाज भी उनके प्रहार से नहीं बच सके।

IPL में सबसे तेज शतक का रिकॉर्ड क्रिस गेल के नाम है, जिन्होंने 2013 में रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (RCB) के लिए खेलते हुए पुणे वॉरियर्स इंडिया के खिलाफ सिर्फ 30 गेंदों में शतक जड़ा था। वहीं, मौजूदा IPL सीजन में राजस्थान रॉयल्स के वैभव सूर्यवंशी ने गुजरात टाइटंस के खिलाफ 35 गेंदों में शतक लगाकर दूसरा सबसे तेज शतक अपने नाम किया था।

क्लासेन ने अपनी इस पारी से सूर्यकुमार यादव के एक रिकॉर्ड की भी बराबरी की। वह IPL में तीन नंबर या उससे नीचे बल्लेबाजी करते हुए सबसे ज्यादा शतक (दो) लगाने के मामले में सूर्यकुमार के बराबर पहुंच गए हैं। इस सूची में एबी डिविलियर्स और संजू सैमसन तीन-तीन शतकों के साथ संयुक्त रूप से शीर्ष पर हैं।[
