With a focus on community empowerment and skill development, the Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) has announced that the admissions process for its 2025–2028 regular course batch has begun. This initiative, which is sponsored by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), intends to prepare economically disadvantaged adolescents in Karnataka to become top-tier technicians by offering them industry-focused training and education.
Since its founding in 2007, TTTI has grown to become one of India’s top professional training institutions. It provides thorough three-year residential education in automotive majors such as mechatronics, welding, painting, and vehicle assembly. The curriculum’s comprehensive design not only teaches technical skills but also cultivates the discipline and mentality required for success in contemporary manufacturing.
In an effort to promote gender equality in technical education, TTTI expanded its yearly enrollment from 600 to 1,200 students in 2023, with roughly half of the seats set aside for females. Modern residential facilities, including a special dormitory for female students, state-of-the-art training equipment, and brand-new classrooms, are all features of the institution. Students from disadvantaged backgrounds may now obtain high-quality technical education thanks to scholarships.
“We think that real progress starts when opportunities are given to empower individuals,” said G. Shankar, Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration at Toyota Kirloskar Motor. TTTI helps achieve this goal by providing kids in rural Karnataka with top-notch skill training and financial support.
“We are supporting Skill India’s mission by increasing admissions and achieving gender parity,” he said. We are creating a workforce that is prepared for the future and highlights India’s superior manufacturing capabilities. We cordially welcome bright young brains to embark on this remarkable adventure.
The Directorate General of Training (DGT) and the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) both recognize TTTI. It gives pupils the chance to take part in WorldSkills and other national and international skill contests. Since 2015, TTTI students have continuously performed well on international stages, taking home many accolades in disciplines including additive manufacturing, prototyping, and mechatronics. Their dedication to excellence was reaffirmed in 2024 when they were granted the Sustainable Practices Award.
