It's shaping up to be a hectic summer of transfer activity for , with Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong being eyed up by the Premier League champions. Arne Slot kept business at a minimum during his first summer in charge of the Reds, but that doesn't look like being the case this time around.

The Bayer Leverkusen duo have been earmarked as Liverpool's primary targets, with reports that deals could be completed for the pair in the near future. As such, Express Sport have detailed all the latest Liverpool transfer news

Jeremie Frimpong contract details

Jeremie Frimpong is expected to pen a five-year contract deal with Liverpool when his arrival at Anfield is confirmed. The 20-time champions are closing in on securing the Dutchman's services, with Frimpong expected to cost £29.5million. Frimpong has already completed his Liverpool medical, with an announcement expected to come in the coming days. He'll become the latest Dutchman to join the Liverpool ranks, with Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch all hailing from the European nation, alongside manager Slot, who became the first Netherlands native to win the Premier League as manager this season.

Milos Kerkez in Liverpool's sights

With Frimpong seemingly through the door, Liverpool also appear to be targeting a fullback on the opposite side of the defence. Milos Kerkez has emerged as the most likely candidate, with Fabrizio Romano reporting discussions between Liverpool and Bournemouth set to continue following the conclusion of the Premier League season. It's said that Kerkez himself is keen on the move to Merseyside, with personal terms unlikely to be an issue. It could spell the end of Andrew Robertson's time as Liverpool's first-choice left-back, with the Scot having been criticised for his performances at times this season.
