Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for several development projects in Dahod, with a total investment of approximately ₹24,000 crores. He flagged off the Vande Bharat Express between Veraval and Ahmedabad, as well as an express train connecting Valsad and Dahod. In his address, Modi reflected on the significance of the date, May 26, noting that it marks the anniversary of his first swearing-in as Prime Minister in 2014, where he received blessings first from the people of Gujarat and then from millions of Indians.

Modi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received from the people of Gujarat and the nation. He emphasized that the power of this support has driven him to serve the citizens tirelessly. Over the years, the country has made unprecedented decisions, breaking free from decades-old constraints and advancing in every sector. He asserted that India is now emerging from the shadows of despair into the light of hope, with 140 crore Indians united in their efforts to build a developed nation.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of manufacturing essential goods within India, stating that this is a crucial demand of the times. He noted that India is rapidly advancing in the global manufacturing arena, with increasing production for domestic needs and exports to various countries. Modi pointed out that India now produces and exports its own railways and metro systems, showcasing Dahod as a living example of this progress.

Earlier, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects worth thousands of crores, including the impressive electric locomotive factory in Dahod. He recalled his visit three years ago when he laid the foundation stone, and now the first electric locomotive has been completed. He congratulated Gujarat on achieving 100% electrification of its railway network.
