Business Business: �The Center for Software and IT Management (CSITM) at IIM Bangalore on May 24 during a one -day AI Bootkamp for Business Managers. Rahul Dey hosted the release of AI for managers. In this program, Microsoft India and South Asia CTO Dr. Rohini Srivatsa, Director of IIMB Prof. Rishikesh T. Krishnan and Dean of Alumni Relations and Development Prof. Thinkers including Sourav Mukherjee attended.
Prote Dey’s book management is the result of decades of research on AI, inspired by his early work under Nobel Prize winner Herbert Simon. Designed for non-technical professionals, the book provides low-dated, low-cod guides for AI, including digital changes, machine learning, NLP, reinforcement learning and responsible AI. Pro. Dey said, “My aim was to empower managers to think seriously about the role of AI in business and society.”
The panelists discussed strategic changes in Enterprise AI. Dr. Srivatsa emphasized that “AI is now a general-purpose technology, not only one tool”, employee connecting and innovative product development highlighting ideals like generative AI for development. Prof. Krishnan emphasized the growing role of AI in vocational education: “MBA students are now expected to have adequate AI literacy.”
Bootcamp led by technical veteran Sunil Mishra included AI’s basic talks, Janei Tools, LLM, Agentic AI and sessions on moral ideas. The attendees consisted of professionals from areas such as aerospace, fintech, healthcare and cyber security. Through practical exercises, participants created AI-operated equipment such as HR agents and stock analysts. Bootcamp stressed the immediate need to decide decisions for businesses and individuals, adopt AI’s quick impact on the workflow and future of the work.
