Chennai Super Kings led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni defeated the tournament by defeating Gujarat Titans by 83 runs in their final match of the league stage. In this match, first half -centuries of Dewald Bravis and Devon Conway took CSK to a huge score of 230 runs and then Noor Ahmad and Anshul Kamboj wreaked havoc with the ball and allotted Gujarat for 147 runs.

During this match, the fans had entertainment on the ground, but also in the commentary, Akash Chopra and Suresh Raina entertained a lot. Meanwhile, while commenting during the match, former CSK batsman Suresh Raina also indicated to join the team as a batting coach next year. Currently, Michael Hussey is handling the role of CSK’s batting coach but Raina can play this role next year.

However, CSK’s assistant bowling coach remained silent when Raina was asked about the revelations of Raina becoming a batting coach at the press conference after the match. Smiling Sreedharan Shriram said, “I don’t know. I have to ask him if he has said so.”

Earlier in the evening, Raina caught everyone’s attention while discussing CSK’s 2025 season with former India batsmen Akash Chopra and Sanjay Bangar. Raina claimed that CSK was talking to appoint a new batting coach. To know deeply, Chopra asked if the first letters of the next coach start with ‘S’. Raina laughed and replied, “He has scored the fastest half -century.”

Raina, who played 200 matches for CSK and at the forefront of the batting chart with 5529 runs, scored the fastest half -century for franchise in 16 balls in IPL 2014. Hearing Raina’s statement, Akash Chopra said, “Come on, brother, you have heard it first here.”
