The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of new Chief Justice in five different High Courts of the country in a meeting held on Monday today. According to the copy of the order issued by the collegium –
- Justice Sanjeev SachdevaIt has been recommended to appoint those who are currently serving as a judge in the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
- Justice Vibhu BakhruIt has been recommended to appoint those who are judges of Delhi High Court to the post of Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.
- Justice Ashutosh KumarIt has been recommended to appoint those who are working in Patna High Court as Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court.
- Justice Vipul Manubhai PancholiIt has been recommended to appoint those who are originally from the Gujarat High Court and are currently serving in Patna.
- Justice Tarlok Singh ChauhanIt has been recommended to appoint those who are serving in Himachal Pradesh High Court as Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court. This appointment is being made to fill the vacancy caused by the transfer of the Chief Justice in the coming time there.
After being approved by the President of India, the concerned judges will discharge new obligations in their respective High Court.
