Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A cop has been suspended on Sunday after a video of him allegedly taking a bribe and using bad language went viral on social media in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district.

In the video, the cop can be clearly seen taking money wrapped in a complaint letter and putting it into his wallet.

Check out the video below :

The police officer, identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Arvind Yadav, was posted at Pichhore police station.

In the video, he can also be seen speaking rudely and using abusive words during a conversation, then taking some cash wrapped in a complaint letter and putting it in his wallet.

It is not clear in the video who gave the money or why it was given, but the clip quickly spread online and was seen as proof of bribery. The video damaged the image of the police department and led to public criticism.

Taking quick action, Shivpuri Superintendent of Police Aman Singh Rathore ordered Arvind Yadav’s suspension on May 25. The officer has been sent to the Reserve Police Line in Shivpuri during the suspension period. He will receive allowance as per the rules.

The suspension was based on the officer’s behavior seen in the video, which was found to be against police conduct rules.
