found love again with new partner Drew Michael in 2023, after an almost 20 year marriage to footballer Jamie Redknapp, with whom she shares two grown-up sons, ended. Now the 50-year-old, who is boosting her multimillion pound fortune by getting back into the music business and releasing a new album, has shared a rare insight into her little-discussed love life.
In spite of cruel and petty accusations by trolls who have branded her a "cougar" and a "man-eater with a toyboy", she is adamant that "age is irrelevant". However, she's not necessariy planning wedding bells with 41-year-old Drew yet, admitting that it's taken her a "long time" to be able to trust and find joy in romance again after her last split. "I'm not even thinking that far ahead [about marriage]. I'm not even going there," she told .
"Drew's great. We're having a lovely time together. It took me a long time to get to that place and be open about anything," she explained.
"I was very guarded and scared, but I'm really enjoying having special times with someone. He's a great guy and super-kind."
Louise continued: " I've met a really great guy and I'm really happy - but you never know what the future holds!"
Critics addressing their age gap isn't affecting her, as she's described it as "like water off a duck's back" - and her two sons, Beau, 16, and Charley, 20, have both expressed that they like Drew, which is what's important to her.
It comes after Louise opened up about her split with former footballer turned pundit Jamie, back in 2017.
She told the at the time: "I'd been lucky in my career because for many years I didn't really have a lot of scrutiny. Then bang, everybody's got an opinion."
"Nothing I said was right. To defend myself was wrong. To not defend myself was wrong. I felt like I was walking up a one-way street with just nowhere to go on it," she exclaimed in frustration.
Now, however, she's ready to move on - not just in her love life, but in new album Confessions as well, which she is determined will be "progressive" rather than "nostalgic".
