Arvind Sharma, the minister of heritage and tourism for Haryana, said that the state government intended to construct Disneyland on 500 acres of property in the National Capital Region. Speaking at a gathering in Yamunanagar, Sharma said that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini and Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat had talks on this topic and that encouraging outcomes will be announced shortly.

According to Sharma, land has been found for this project in two or three places, and after discussions, a final choice will be made. Additionally, he said that the government is always working to advance and enhance tourism.

According to Sharma, plans were underway to operate five Haryana tourism complexes using a PPP model.

He said that the initiative will provide significant job possibilities for young people and propel Haryana’s tourist industry to previously unheard-of heights.

After Robert A. Iger, president and CEO of Walt Disney, visited the city in 2011, there were earlier rumors that Gurugram might eventually become the location of a Disneyland.

In Haryana, the Disneyland project has made headlines on many times. Om Prakash Chautala, the former chief minister of Haryana, also supported the project’s development but was unable to see it through to completion. Farmers in Haryana sometimes protested against the project as well.
