There is big news for the youth looking for a government job. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a notification for recruitment to the vacant posts of Assistant Section Officer (BPSC ASO Recruitment 2025). According to the notification, the online application process for this recruitment will be started on 29th May.

As soon as the application starts, candidates will be able to fill out the form only online mode by visiting the official website of BPSC bpsc.bihar.gov.in. The last date to apply and deposit the fee has been fixed as 23 June 2025.

To apply for BPSC ASO posts, the candidate must have passed graduation from a recognized university/institute. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years. The maximum age of male candidates should not be more than 37 years and the minimum age of female candidates should not be more than 40 years. Candidates coming from reserved categories will be given relaxation in upper age as per rules. Keep in mind that the age will be calculated as of 1st August 2025.

How to fill out the form

To join BPSC ASO Recruitment 2025, first, you have to go to the official website bpsconline.bihar.gov.in.

On the home page of the website, you have to click on the Apply Online link.

Now you have to register by clicking on the online registration link first on the new portal.

After registration, the candidates should complete the application process by filling in other details.

Finally, take a printout of the filled form by depositing the prescribed fee and keep it safe.

Application fee

In this recruitment, along with the application, candidates of General, OBC, and other states will have to deposit Rs 600 as a fee, while SC, ST, PH, and Women (only of Bihar state) candidates will have to pay Rs 150. Application fees can be deposited through online mode.

How will the selection be done?

To be selected for this recruitment, the candidates will have to first appear in the preliminary examination. Candidates who get the prescribed cutoff marks in the prelim exam will be invited to the main examination. Candidates will be selected based on both examinations.
